I served in various capacities such as Patrol, Detective, SWAT, and head of all training and liability for the department. I received multiple commendations, including the Medal of Valor, rising through the ranks to become the Night Commander for the last decade of my career.

I am also an ordained minister with a Masters of Divinity, so I can not only sell houses, I can bless and exorcize them as well. (The second part was a joke, but I am indeed ordained.)

I retired to Florida, renting in the Orlando/Kissimmee area while searching for a permanent home. We looked up and down I-4 from Daytona Beach to Clearwater Beach and every town east and west of the parks within and hour. We settled in Auburndale for two years, but are taking advantage of the rapid equity jump this year to move to New Smyrna Beach, so I know Central Florida really well. I understand your perspective as both a buyer and someone relocating thousands of miles from home.
It was during this second home search that it occurred to me that my passion was Real Estate and helping people achieve their dreams of ownership. As I stated in my story, my entrance into Real Estate was as a customer and my perspective hasn’t changed. I dealt with a multitude of builders and salespeople. Some were a delight to deal with and others made me want to knock them out. It was the bad ones who inspired me to get into real estate, the same way criminals made me want to become a police officer.
The official title for my license is “Sales Associate,” but I HATE that title. Why? I’M NOT IN SALES. What do I mean? Sale people are most interested in selling. Their focus is on getting you to buy the most expensive product, whether you need it or not. I am not a sales person I am your AGENT. That means I am your advocate. The same as it was my job to defend the rights of the innocent while as a police officer and see that justice was done, it is my job as your agent to ensure that your rights are protected and that you get what is best for you and your family based upon your specific situation and circumstances.
What does this mean? It means that I won’t give you that Stepford Wife smile that you get from most Sales people, kissing your bottom, making everything sound perfect all the time. No, what you will get from me is the straight truth and workable advice based on my research and inside understanding of the market.
